Front Courtyard Garden with new gabion style tables filled with Norfolk blue flint, benches and parasols.  Heated Walled/open lean and Courtyard Summer kitchen purpose-built service area with a scrumptious Courtyard menu. No need to book, first come first served - 12noon to 9pm, Sunday till 8pm

Marsh View Terrace adjoining conservatory restaurant overlooking breath taking views of tidal marsh, Scolt Head Island and the sea beyond, serving an award winning a la carte menu. Stylish parasols to shade from the summer sun. Bring your Binoculars. Booking essential from late May - 12noon to 9pm, Sunday till 8pm

Marshside superbly newly restyled for comfort and furnished to give a taste of outdoor living. Taking advantage of the tidal marsh and the stunning panoramic view beyond. Menu serving the freshest seafood, cooked over coals. Open sided see-through marquee and ponchos for when the weather let’s us down. Sun shade parasols, deck chairs and viewing benches complete the picture. No need to book, first come first served - 12noon to 9pm

Marshside Bar will serve summer cocktail specialities as well as ‘sparkling’, local wines and beers. No need to book, first come first served.

Fran Hartshorne, Head Chef
Fran has been thriving in the kitchen since 2005, stepping up to Head Chef in recent years. You could say Fran is ‘home grown’ and has been on a great journey with us at The White Horse, she worked in the US for a number of years but Norfolk is where her cooking comes into its own. 'I feel the luckiest Chef on the Norfolk coast, creating in a kitchen that faces out across the stunning tidal marsh, it can’t get much better' says Fran. Passionate about seasonality and the provenance of her ingredients she aims to explore, experience and use every available local ingredient in her menus. There’s an abundance of choice, the pairing of which with Fran’s creativity takes local produce to its highest level. See Fran in Norfolk Table, a cookbook that celebrates the talents of 20 chefs along the coast. A great read including some of Fran’s delicious recipes. Avaliable to buy at reception for £19.95 it's the perfect souvenir following a meal or stay here at The White Horse.

All dishes are prepared to order using the freshest ingredients, sourced from our wonderful local producers. 

The menus change regularly and are created from the best seasonal pickings on offer and daily specials too, not forgetting an extensive bar menu with weekly specials.

We love to see dogs in the bar but not in the restaurant.
